COURSE OVERVIEW
Art Appreciation is a course designed to encourage an understanding, appreciation and sensitivity of the visual arts through a study of their theory, history and mechanics. The course includes a survey of the major developments in the visual arts, and their respective aesthetic criteria, from Prehistoric times to the present. In addition to classroom lecture and discussion, this section will attempt to incorporate “Blended Learning” techniques using the Moodle learning management system for enrichment activities and online discussion.
